About Us

The Peninsula Snapper Challenge is a community based fishing tournament with an emphasis on participation, enjoyment of angling and the option of catch and release fishing. The competition will commence at 12.01am on Saturday November 21st with the final competition entries to be submitted by 6.00PM on Sunday November 29th while you fish Westernport & Port Phillip Bay. Entries must be submitted using a qualifying photograph, sent from your smartphone to Challenge HQ with no restriction of the number of entries that you can send. If you catch a longer snapper, send another photo! Trophies will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd longest snapper for Open, Kayak & Junior sections.

On Sunday afternoon from 3.00 the PSC presentation will be held at the Frankston Bombers Football & Netball Club pavilion in Baxter, just 15 minutes from Mornington, Frankston, Hastings & Patterson River boat ramps. Our generous sponsors have provided a booty of prizes that will be given to entrants in a lucky draw format. Just for being in the competition, you can win any of the great prizes whether you have caught a big fish or not. It’s all about getting out there and having fun! The presentation has ample & secure parking for cars and boats with plenty of great food and drinks to round out a great tournament.

After the fishing is done & trophies awarded to our new Peninsula Snapper Challenge Champions, the prize pool will be given away to entrants in a lucky draw format. This gives each & every angler an equal chance to take home a quality prize, specifically chosen to be used in local conditions. Rather than give one big prize away to only one entrant, the Peninsula Snapper Challenge wants to share the love with as many entrants as possible and so we guarantee that 1 in 5 entrants will win from the prize pool.
